‘West Ham reveals club rejecting Mohammed Kudus offer’ after David Ornstein update
West Ham could face a battle to keep hold of Mohammed Kudus after clubs have expressed an interest in signing him this summer.
The Ghana international is one of the Premier League side’s most valuable assets despite failing to score since Graham Potter joined the club in January.
Saudi clubs are understood to have enquired about Kudus ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported on 3 April the 24-year-old has a release clause for Premier League clubs set at £80million, which rises to £120million for Saudi sides.
Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider West Ham would likely accept an £80million bid for Kudus.
West Ham signed the winger from Ajax for £38million in August 2023, with his contract at the London Stadium set to run until 2028.
Kudus has registered three goals and three assists in 28 appearances this season.
West Ham planning ‘big sale’ after Lucas Paqueta blow
Borson suggested West Ham could be planning to sell Kudus as their “biannual big sale” after Declan Rice joined Arsenal for £105million in 2023.
He told Football Insider: “I think given the situation they’ve got with Paqueta, there was a player that they’d almost sold to City for about £80million until the issue came up.
“I think this is their biannual big sale that makes a massive difference to their ability to invest.
“I think if they got anywhere near £80million, they would presumably sell.
“I don’t know whether the story is true. It sounds like a lot of money.

Football Insider revealed on 4 April West Ham have identified a replacement for Konstantinos Mavropanos ahead of the summer transfer window.
Udinese star Oumar Solet has been a long-term target for the club after they missed out on the Frenchman last summer.
