Leeds United see huge Bristol City fixture rescheduled as Championship run-in confirmed
Leeds United face Bristol City at Elland Road later this month
Leeds United’s final home match of the season against Bristol City has been moved after being selected for Sky Sports coverage. The fixture were scheduled to host the Robins on Saturday, April 26.
But the clash will now take place on Monday, April 28, with a 8pm kick-off, is to be screened live on Sky Sports. It finished goalless in the reverse fixture last October.
United have turned Elland Road into a fortress, losing just once in 20 matches. No team in the Championship has scored more home goals (49) than the Whites this term.
However, the Robins will be no pushovers. Liam Manning’s side are eighth in the table, only outside of the play-off places on goal difference heading into the business end of the campaign.
After going head-to-head with City, United will conclude their campaign with a trip to relegation-threatened Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, May 3. The Whites currently trail leaders Sheffield United by two points after a mini wobble but manager Daniel Farke remains convinced his side will gain promotion.
Farke said: “I’m not nervous at all; I’m totally calm and cool that we’ll play in the Premier League next season. I’m older and have experience of a few situations. (I’ve been) Involved in promotion battles in my manager career.
