Rangers CEO Patrick Stewart set to hold fans’ forum

Patrick Stewart is set to hold a Rangers fans’ forum at Edmiston House.

The club’s CEO will answer questions from supporters across a vast array of key matters and topics.

Stewart will be joined by several members of Rangers’ senior management team at the event, which is due to take place on Wednesday, April 23.

The Ibrox club has hosted fans’ forums in the past, although this is the first that will be headed up by a sitting CEO.

It comes with Rangers enjoying recent success on the park under interim head coach Barry Ferguson and his backroom team of Billy Dodds, Neil McCann and Allan McGregor.

In his short time at the helm so far, Ferguson has spearheaded a memorable 3-2 victory over Celtic at Parkhead and steered Rangers into the quarter-finals of the Europa League, where they will face Athletic Club of Spain’s La Liga.

The current focus is on domestic matters, however, and despite an impressive comeback victory over Dundee at the weekend, Ferguson wasn’t a particularly happy man post-match: “Overall, I saw so many old habits creeping in,” he said.

“I just had a word with them [the players] about it. I’m not going to allow that to happen. So, it’s something that we really need to work on.

“We’ve got a full week now and that’s something that me and my staff, and the players will sit down and we will go through things, we will go out on the grass. Because at stages in the game, I was a bit baffled at times.

“But one thing I will say about them is they showed character again. I keep using this word all the time, but this has been labelled against them.
