Everton announces exit of Calvert-Lewin as his replacement confirm

Everton face uncertainty around the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and have already started planning for a future without him.

The England international has been with the Toffees for almost a decade but could potentially be on his way out next summer.

Calvert-Lewin’s current contract at Goodison Park expires at the end of the season, and there seems to be no progress on agreeing fresh terms with him.

The 28-year-old has also been injury-prone at the Blues over the years, with David Moyes having to rely on Beto recently.

Everton set to say goodbye to Calvert-Lewin next summer

It feels like Calvert-Lewin won’t be a part of the Merseyside outfit when they move to Bramley-Moore Dock next season.

The Friedkin Group (TFG) have had significant time to convince the Englishman to sign a new contract since their takeover from Farhad Moshiri in December.

With the 28-year-old’s contractual situation still up in the air, it’s safe to assume that the Blues will be waving goodbye to the centre-forward in the coming months.

TFG will arguably need to back Moyes in the upcoming transfer window, with several other players also coming towards the end of their contracts.

Lorenzo Lucca transfer wanted at Goodison Park

Armando Broja is expected to return to Chelsea once his loan deal at the Toffees ends.

The Albanian forward has suffered another injury-hit season, and it wouldn’t make sense for the Blues to bring him back next summer.

Moyes may be left with a dearth of number nines in the coming months, making it imperative for the Merseyside outfit to invest in a new striker.

The Toffees are interested in Udinese forward Lorenzo Lucca to reinforce their attack in the upcoming transfer window, according to Everton News.
