Nottingham Forest suddenly want ‘monstrous’ £25m star Steve Cooper had his eye on in 2022
Nottingham Forest will undoubtedly go in search of some new players during the summer transfer window.
With Forest chasing Champions League football – and almost certain to be playing in some sort of European competition – new recruits will be sought by Nuno Espirito Santo.
Evangelos Marinakis was desperate for a striker in January but was left frustrated amid price hikes and PSR loitering in the background for a number of clubs.
It won’t just be strikers that Forest look to sign in the summer, with reinforcements likely to be made across the pitch.
Forest have been linked with Semih Kilicsoy, however, and forward reinforcements might be on the shortlist as more of a priority than other positions.
Nottingham Forest want Milan midfielder Yunus Musah
According to Goal, the USMNT midfielder remains on the radar of Forest.
Steve Cooper wanted Musah at Forest back in 2022 but a strong World Cup saw the Reds miss their chance to land the talented performer.
Milan are going to be in the market to offload some players in the summer transfer window.
Forest have already been linked with Fikayo Tomori and now, a double swoop on the San Siro giants could be on the cards.
Musah won’t come cheap, however, with the report claiming that it could take up to £25 million to bring the international performer to the City Ground.
Yunus Musah stats 2024/25
Forest would welcome another midfielder to come into the fold ahead of next season.
With doubts over Ibrahim Sangare to play in the Premier League, a proper number six might be required and perhaps Musah can fit that mantra.
It remains to be seen whether a new midfielder is high on the shortlist with forward players likely to be more of a priority.
