Morgan Gibbs-White dealt fresh Thomas Tuchel snub as England squad cut

Morgan Gibbs-White dealt fresh Thomas Tuchel snub as England squad cut.

Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White has been dealt a fresh snub by England head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Gibbs-White has been left out of the Three Lions’ matchday squad for Friday’s World Cup qualifier against Albania at Wembley, as Tuchel takes charge for the first time for the Three Lions’.

It follows the Reds ace originally being left out of Tuchel’s first squad altogether, despite his impressive form for Forest this season as they chase Champions League qualification in the Premier League, before an injury to Chelsea’s Cole Palmer led to a late call-up of Gibbs-White to the national squad for the World Cup qualifier against Albania.

Speaking earlier this week about originally being left out altogether by Tuchel, Gibbs-White said: “Obviously I was upset. Yeah, a little bit disappointed.

But when he told me, I respected his decision because it normal. The standard of players is top level so we just have to move on.

“I said to him back like ‘I feel like I’ve done enough to get the call-up,and considering the form level that we were in right now, but obviously you’re the manager, you make the decisions, and I respect that totally’.

It was about 4 or 5 o’clock. He sent me a message to say ‘Are you free to talk?’ And I think I replied within like 30 seconds or so and then.

“He phoned me up and said ‘Are you still upset with me, or do you want to come and join us and fancy training tomorrow? Yeah I’d like to come and train.

“Obviously, there’s no question there. I said I’d obviously love to come and join and train with the boys, so, yeah, found out Sunday late afternoon and I was just smiling from ear to ear.”
