DONE DEAL;Nottingham Forest has finally sign England international star for just £21 million
Nottingham Forest were quiet in January but that’s unlikely to be the case this summer.
With Forest chasing Champions League football – and almost certain to be playing in some sort of European competition – new recruits will be sought.
Evangelos Marinakis was desperate for a striker in January but was left frustrated amid price hikes and PSR loitering in the background for a number of clubs.
It won’t just be strikers that Forest look to sign in the summer, with reinforcements likely to be made across the pitch.
Forest have been linked with Semih Kilicsoy, however, and forward reinforcements might be on the shortlist as more of a priority than other positions.
Nottingham Forest want Fikayo Tomori
According to Milan Live, Forest are keen to land the player who has made five appearances for England during the summer transfer window.
Tottenham and Newcastle are also keen on signing the central defender and Milan are prepared to let him leave for £21 million when the window reopens.
West Ham are also considering making a move for the centre-back but having spent a number of years with Milan, he’s likely to crave European football.
Tomori has made 167 appearances for Milan but it would appear that they’re ready to go in a different direction during the summer.
Rio Ferdinand hailed Tomori in 2022 and given how many games he’s played for a successful Milan team, it’s a wonder he’s not played more times for England.
Tomori had season-long loan at Derby County
Frank Lampard dipped into his list of contacts when he was in charge along the A52 at Derby to bring Tomori to Pride Park.
Given that he had the Milan defender, Mason Mount and Harry Wilson in his squad it really has to be viewed as a failure that the Rams weren’t promoted.
