Vaclav Cerny WANTS Rangers permanent transfer but winger reveals why Ibrox contract talks are on hold
Cerny has been at the centre of controversy in the wake of the derby day victory over Celtic going into the international break
Winger Vaclav Cerny “definitely” wants a permanent move to Rangers in the summer.
However, the Wolfsburg loanee admits he has not heard from the Light Blues on a move at this stage – or the position of the Bundesliga side.
The Czech winger is currently on international duty as he faces a World Cup qualifying double header with the Faroe Islands and Gibraltar – but faced questions over his club future.
Cerny has broken his silence on the ‘watergate’ row – which saw the winger throw water at Celtic fans and leaves him facing sanctions from the SFA and a police probe.
The 27-year-old was asked if he wanted to remain at Rangers beyond his current deal and he said: “I definitely do. But there are so many aspects that I can’t control. All I can do is be the best I can and keep up my form and numbers.”
Pressed on whether he was considering his options at this stage of the season he told Sport: “I honestly say no. There’s no time for that, we play every three days. I don’t have an option, that’s the only official one. I don’t know what will happen.”
The wide man admitted there has been no indication from the club that they want him to stay – despite being among the stand-out performers in a disappointing campaign.
Pressed on if the Scottish Premiership side have made their stance clear, he said: “No. I’m having fun with everyone as I go.
“Rangers will be going through some changes in the summer, there’s talk of new owners buying a large percentage of the shares.
