UNBELIEVABLE NEWS;West ham announces the sudden return of former manager to takeover

West Ham United decided to part ways with Julen Lopetegui back in January.

Julen Lopetegui lasted just six months in charge of West Ham, but he failed to oversee any kind of progress from David Moyes’s tenure.

In fact, the Hammers regressed badly during the Spaniard’s tenure at the London Stadium.

Jarrod Bowen recently suggested that a lack of intensity in training and during matches cost Julen Lopetegui his job at West Ham.

And recent comments from Jethro Medine proved just how clueless the 58-year-old was.

The 18-year-old right-back said that Julen Lopetegui asked him to play as a striker during West Ham training.

His lack of interest in the youth setup summed up his time at West Ham in my opinion.

Julen Lopetegui was the wrong man from the start at West Ham

The Spaniard was completely inept, and that was obvious to see from the first few weeks of his tenure.

His tactics were utterly baffling, and nobody knew what he was actually trying to do.

I’m not even sure he knew himself!

Lopetegui’s man management was atrocious, and he fell out with numerous Hammers players including Jean-Clair Todibo.

If Lopetegui had remained in charge at the London Stadium, I truly believe that we’d be in genuine danger of getting relegated now.

Despite the fact that the West Ham owners should never have appointed him in the first place, we have to be thankful that they made amends for that mistake by sacking him two months ago.

It seems like the Spaniard is set for a new role in football management.

According to a report from Estadio Deportivo, Mexican outfit Monterrey are very keen to appoint Lopetegui.
