Rangers player who starred vs Celtic could push for exit in blow for 49ers
An “excellent” Rangers player could look to seal a move away from the club in the summer transfer window, according to a new update from reporter Pete O’Rourke
The Gers may be all but out of the Scottish Premiership title race, but they have given themselves the smallest glimmer of hope after a fantastic 3-2 win away to Celtic on Sunday.
Despite their Europa League excursions against Fenerbahce on Thursday happening less than 72 hours before kickoff at Parkhead, Barry Ferguson’s side produced a spirited performance and picked up a great win for their supporters to cherish.
Having gone 2-0 up thanks to goals from Nicolas Raskin and Mohamed Diomande, Rangers were pegged back by two Celtic strikes which looked to have robbed the visitors of victory.
It was left to Hamza Igamane to be the hero for Rangers on the day, with the striker popping up with a brilliant winner in the 88th minute, securing one of their most impressive results of the season so far.
He is a key man for the Gers but has been linked with a move away, and now an important update has emerged regarding his future at the club in what could be a blow to prospective new owners the 49ers Enterprises.
According to Football Insider‘s O’Rourke, Rangers attacker Igamane “could push for a move away” from Ibrox at the end of this season, following his late winner at Celtic.
The 22-year-old is “attracting interest from top sides across Europe and could be available this summer”, with a report earlier this month suggesting that a move to Everton is a “real possibility” in the summer window. Sevilla and Marseille have also been mentioned as options, as well as other Premier League clubs.
