Former Nottingham Forest, Notts County and Derby County players – and cast members from Hollyoaks – set to pull on their boots for the Footprints Cup at Eastwood Town

Former Nottingham Forest players Marlon Harewood and Paul McGregor and ex-Notts County striker Mark Stallard will be pulling on their boots for a charity football match at Eastwood Town this weekend.

Chris Cohen will also be in the dugout for the game, between Footprints CEC and HDB Magpies, at Coronation Park on Sunday.

Gates open at 3.30pm for the event, which is been held to raise money for the Footprints Conductive Education Centre, which helps children with mobility and communication difficulties.

Both the teams will both be made up of a mixture of former professionals from Forest, Notts and Derby County, as well as television celebrities – including some of the cast of Hollyoaks – and fan players.

The game kicks-off at 4.30pm, but events begin at 4pm with Burton Joyce Down Syndrome FC and Rolls Royce Framed Football FC both in action on the pitch before then.

Nottingham Forest have set up a very intriguing Championship play-off final against Huddersfield Town.

The Terriers have been one of the main surprise packages in the second tier this season and could achieve an incredible promotion to the top-flight, if Carlos Corberan can catch the Reds cold at Wembley Stadium.

Forest are favourites heading into the match after putting together a sustained excellent run in the second half of the season, keeping automatic promotion hopes alive until the penultimate fixture.

Former Reds striker Marlon Harewood was feeling bullish about the club’s promotion chances when he spoke to BETDAQ.

He said: “Without a shadow of a doubt I’ll back them to win, because I’ve seen them a few times against Huddersfield.
