Tottenham ‘to receive Archie Gray discount’ as Leeds make transfer decision
Archie Gray has shone for Tottenham since joining the club, and that transfer could prove to be an even bigger bargain after a new Leeds decision.
As a result of a severe injury crisis in North London, Ange Postecoglou has been forced to throw Gray in at the deep end this season.
However, the 19-year-old has risen to the occasion, recently named the Young Player of the Year at the London Football Awards after his impressive performances this term.
Following this award, it has been suggested that the midfielder-turned-defender, who Spurs signed for £30million, is already worth £50million.
And Tottenham could yet save some more money on their rising star after a new Leeds decision.Leeds make Manor Solomon transfer decision
According to the Sunday Mirror (9 March, page 71), Leeds have informed Tottenham that they would be keen to sign Manor Solomon permanelty as long as they are promoted to the Premier League this season.
Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King has suggested that Tottenham could demand £15million plus add-ons to sell the winger to the Whites.
However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks a discount on the Gray transfer could be the way forward with this deal.
“Tottenham will still have payments that they owe Leeds for Gray,” Wenham said.
“I’m sure one of those payments is due this summer. Therefore, that can be negotiated to reduce that payment and send Solomon to Leeds in return.

That would be a good move for the player. He is performing exceptionally well at Elland Road and the fans seem to love him. I’m sure there is interest in the player from other clubs, but he has already moved around quite a lot in his young career.
“Therefore, he might be keen to make roots at a big club such as Leeds.”
