SO SAD:Rangers star struck a permanent contract deal with Everton club suddenly

There isn’t a football club in the world that can claim to have an entirely original song book, and Rangers are no different.

The Union Bears are an ultras group to be proud of though with the recent Ibroxonia, a modern classic that has been met with universal approval.

A song that hasn’t been heard around Ibrox for a while is “We all dream of a team of …..” with a player’s name inserted who epitomises the spirit and ethos of the club, or a cult hero.

Think Sasa Papac from relatively recent times, maybe Dujon Sterling from the current Rangers squad.

In a hypothetical world, what Rangers player from history could play in every position?

Who could line-up in every position for Rangers/

With a vast array of players, it’s not as easy as it sounds.

They have to be physically capable of playing in every position, being tall helps, fast, robust, but most of all, they must be a top-class footballer.

John Brown, “Bomber”, a Hall of Fame legend, played in more attack-minded positions at No.10 and on the wing when he was at Dundee, for Rangers, he played mainly along the back line and as a defensive midfielder.

The type of player that the current squad is crying out for. Someone who gets what it means to be a Rangers, and would play a title decider with a torn Achilles, putting the team before his own health.

Brown ticks a lot of boxes, but maybe doesn’t quite have the goalscoring finesse to make a difference at the sharp end.

Leftys seem to be more versatile with Jorg Albertz and Giovanni van Bronckhorst also possible contenders, then there is Craig Moore.

Big Oz wore almost every shirt under Walter Smith before settling into his centre-half role, mainly alongside Lorenzo Amoruso.
