BEST SIGNING EVER;West ham finally struck permanent deal with their dream striker

West Ham are plotting a move to sign Roma striker Tammy Abraham in the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the 27-year-old has been a long-term target for the Hammers and could now be set to make the move.

The chance to return to the Premier League and to play under Graham Potter at the London Stadium is thought to be “hugely appealing” to Abraham.

Potter is said to be concerned about his attacking options after Niclas Fullkrug’s slow start to his time in England while Evan Ferguson will return to Brighton after his loan spell.

Meanwhile, Brown told Football Insider in October that Danny Ings is likely to leave West Ham upon the expiry of his contract in June with no plans to renew his terms.

The Hammers have now turned their attention towards the transfer window as they play to plug the holes in Potter’s squad via the transfer market.

West Ham plot Tammy Abraham move after Roma latest

Former Hammers scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 14 March that West Ham will rival Leeds’ move for Abraham this summer.

The former Chelsea forward has spent the season on loan at AC Milan from Roma and is no longer seen as part of the long-term plans at the Stadio Olimpico.

Everton have also been eyeing Abraham amid concerns about the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and the Roma striker is set to be subject to plenty of interest.

He is expected to be available for a relatively low price as the Serie A outfit are keen to move him on, inspiring a potential bidding war from Premier League sides.
