Ferguson accuses Celtic of tapping up Rangers target Lennon Miller
Celtic have been accused of ‘tapping up’ Motherwell midfielder and Rangers target Lennon Miller.
Miller has caught the eye for his performances at Fir Park and is said to be wanted by Rangers and Celtic ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 18-year-old is already establishing himself in Scottish football and Ross McCormack recently expressed his surprise that Rangers have not already made their move.
While the Gers have seemingly still yet to make a move, it may well be that Celtic are working behind the scenes to strike a transfer.
Derek Ferguson makes Miller to Celtic transfer claim
Miller has impressed against Rangers this season and some wanted to see a move made in the winter transfer window.
However, in the view of former Rangers player Derek Ferguson – speaking exclusively to Ibrox News – Celtic may already be in the process of persuading him to join them instead.
“He’s a good player right now and will be a top player in time,” Ferguson said. “You want talented Scottish players at Rangers.

Rangers will weigh up the situation and I know Celtic have shown a strong interest. I think Rangers have been guilty in the past of not snapping up young Scottish talent and that’s something they need to address.
When you’ve got a guy like Lennon Miller that’s been on the scene for the past year, year and a half, I’m surprised they’ve not already made contact. It looks as though Celtic have done that.
“I think he’s been tapped up by Celtic. It’s a case of Rangers again being too slow off the mark.“
Rangers may have blown chance to sign Miller
Rangers deserve praise for reaching an agreement to sign Lyall Cameron from Dundee ahead of the summer – an example of a young, Scottish talent being brought in.
