BRRAKING NEWS;Six players Leicester City has confirm their exit this summer
Even if Leicester City survive their Premier League relegation fight there are a number of players at the club who will be contenders to head for the exit in the summer
If Leicester City are relegated this season, the exodus of senior players may be similar to that of two years ago, when 10 first-team squad members said permanent goodbyes.
But what about if City stay up? Well, there are still a few players who could leave in that scenario too.
There’s not only the out-of-contract trio – Jamie Vardy, Danny Ward, and Daniel Iversen – but there are also several players who may leave for a fee.
Here, we run down the six leading contenders to be sold at City if they stay up.
Mads Hermansen
If City are getting back into a routine of selling one valuable player for a substantial profit each summer, then goalkeeper Mads Hermansen could possibly be let go.
The latest noises coming out of Chelsea are that they won’t be signing a new number one this season, despite the struggles of Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen, which would prevent Hermansen from teaming up with Enzo Maresca again.
But given the Dane’s shot-stopping ability and his ball-playing composure, there will be plenty of teams around Europe eyeing him up.
City should be able to make at least five times the £6.5m they spent on Hermansen two summers ago.
Bilal El Khannouss
What if the interest in Hermansen isn’t there? Then City may have to consider a sale for their other potential money-spinning asset Bilal El Khannouss.
City won’t want to lose the Moroccan after just one season and will be in a strong position to keep him if they stay up, but if sales are required to meet PSR or fund incoming deals, then their hand may be forced.
