BEST SIGNING EVER;Fenerbahce player suddenly signs a lifetime contract with Rangers after the match
UEFA could be set to intervene after controversial scenes as Rangers beat Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday.
Goals from Cyriel Dessers and two from Vaclav Cerny were enough to secure a huge 3-1 win at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Turkiye, with home fans creating a ferocious atmosphere.
Alejandro Hernandez was at the centre of controversy though, as a home player went down with a head knock in the first half, with both teams playing on – much to the anger of the Fenerbahce fans.
UEFA to send warning after Rangers incident
Keith Hackett admits that UEFA may need to send reminders to the officials, that they are in charge of player safety on and off the pitch.
The ex-FIFA referee insists that VAR, and all officials around the pitch, should have brought the incident to the attention of Hernandez.
“Given this incident, I hope that UEFA will remind match officials of the duty of care that they have towards players’ safety,” Hackett exclusively told Ibrox News.
“They need to ensure that all match officials, including VAR, immediately bring to the attention of the referee to stop the game in such circumstances.”
Robin Propper in serious collision
Thankfully, when Robin Propper clashed with Jack Butland and appeared knocked out later in the first half, the game was stopped immediately and help was provided.
Propper needed to leave the pitch, replaced by Leon Balogun, but he did manage to walk, thankfully.

With so much spotlight on incidents such as this within football now, there are too many moments that are being missed which could be critical for players.
Hernandez is in the heat of the moment with the whistle and likely watching the ball consistently, so those around him need to step in and help.
