Barry Ferguson handed Rangers injury boost after John Souttar update at Ibrox

Rangers have been handed an injury boost as Barry Ferguson gave an update on John Souttar after losing to Motherwell.

The centre-back has been on the sidelines on multiple occasions this season, leading to defensive changes at the Gers.

Souttar has been sidelined at Ibrox in recent matches as the Light Blues have made a managerial change after sacking Philippe Clement.

Barry Ferguson was unable to count on the Scotland international as the Bears lost 2-1 to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday (1 March), and they seemingly can’t wait for the defender’s return.

The Gers manager revealed via Joshua Barrie on X (1 March) that the centre-back would return for the Light Blues against Jose Mourinho’s team at the Ulker Stadium on Thursday (6 March).

Ferguson has easy call to make with Souttar against Fenerbahce

Clinton Nsiala seems to be done at Rangers after he was hauled off in the first half against Kilmarnock and remained on the bench in the Motherwell loss.

It looks like Ferguson doesn’t have faith in the French youngster, which will only lead to more issues at the Gers.

Leon Balogun returned to action after the break as the Light Blues found themselves two goals down after the first half against the Steelmen.
