Alex Rae leaves Rangers as staff exit with Philippe Clement

Alex Rae and Stephen van der Heyden have left Rangers following the dismissal of Philippe Clement.

It’s understood the pair, who were both key figures of Clement’s coaching staff, have joined the Belgian in leaving.

The Scottish Premiership giants officially announced the departure of Clement late last night.

It’s expected that they will confirm a caretaker management team for the club’s next game against Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.

Clement’s old No.2, Issame Charai, is in line to be the front of that, with the Moroccan believed to be taking first-team training this morning.
