Tottenham fans will love what Kevin Danso and Vicario did after Ipswich win

Kevin Danso was once again a rock at the back for Tottenham Hotspur against Ipswich Town and the importance of his performance was not lost on Guglielmo Vicario, who shared a touching moment with the defender after the full-time whistle.

Danso only arrived at Hotspur Way a few weeks ago, but he looks like he has already been at the club for a couple of years. Such is the ease with which he has slotted in seamlessly into Ange Postecoglou‘s backline.

The Austrian’s experience, nous and leadership qualities have instantly made Spurs a much more solid outfit at the back, and the 26-year-old appears to be getting better and better with each outing.

His latest performance at Portman Road Stadium was undoubtedly the best of his four so far, with the former Lens man proving an impassable wall at the back.

Having the experience of Guglielmo Vicario in goal and Danso in front of him has certainly made this Tottenham defence look very different from the shaky one we have come to see over recent months.

Unlike the win over Man Utd, the Italian goalkeeper did not have too many difficult saves to make at Ipswich, owing to the way his defenders mopped up the danger.

The Tottenham number one went straight to Danso after the final whistle, with the pair engaging in a touching moment. It appears Danso has made a big impression on the Italian shot-stopper in the space of just a handful of training sessions.

While Archie Gray and Radu Dragusin gave it their all and put their bodies on the line for Tottenham for two months, Danso has demonstrated the importance of having a calm, cool head at the back.
