Rangers football club have issued a statement after growing expectation the club is on the cusp of being bout by a consortium involving Leeds United owners, 49ers Enterprises. Leeds chairman Paraag Marathe is reportedly at the centre of a multi-million pound takeover of the Scottish giants, with the deal a long time in the planning and something which has been bubbling away in the background for many months.
Marathe, who led Leeds’ ownership transition to 49ers Enterprises in July 2023, is one of the key man behind a proposal to invest in Rangers, according to Daily Record.
