Leicester City have signed 10 players in the last two transfer windows but one is really struggling for game time.

Upon their return to the Premier League, the Foxes brought nine new players to the King Power Stadium in the summer of 2024.

Oliver Skipp’s Leicester City stint has been a nightmare so far despite the midfielder arriving as their most expensive addition.

On the other hand, Bilal El Khannouss has been sensational since he moved, including impressing in the recent loss to Manchester United.

Caleb Okoli was impressive for Leicester in the FA Cup defeat as well and after falling out of favour somewhat, may have done enough to win his place back under Ruud van Nistelrooy.

However, there’s one player that Steve Cooper brought to the Midlands that the ex-centre-forward is yet to hand a chance to.

Michael Golding arrived at Leicester from Chelsea on July 7th, 2024 for a fee the BBC put at around £4m.

When signing for the club, the midfielder seemed optimistic about progressing his career.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to making leaps in my career here and help the team as much as I can.

“The history of the club speaks for itself; there are great players here and I’m looking to soak up as much information as I can.

“I’m very excited to learn from Steve Cooper given some of the players he has worked with and his track record of working with young players.”

However, neither Van Nistelrooy nor Steve Cooper have handed the 18-year-old any senior minutes so far.

Golding has made five Premier League 2 appearances and lined out twice in the EFL Trophy, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
