Van Nistelrooy making big mistake leaving Leicester ace Steve Cooper loved out, he could be forced to start him

 

Ruud van Nistelrooy could be forced into starting a player has benched on numerous occasions since taking over from Steve Cooper.

The former Nottingham Forest manager had a torrid time at the King Power and was sacked after taking charge of just 12 Premier League games.

Van Nistelrooy has faced similar struggles during his stint in the Midlands but to try and freshen things up, he has been leaving out a previously key player at Leicester City.

The Foxes’ 2024 summer transfer window was largely a failure but one addition who did perform well in the early stages of the campaign was Facundo Buonanotte.

Speaking back in late November, as per Leicestershire Live, Cooper heaped praise on the Brighton and Hove Albion loanee.

He said: “We’ve been really impressed. The highlights of his game have been shown quite often. You can see the obvious abilities. First and foremost, he’s a really good lad.

“He’s really settled in here. He’s really down to earth and he’s bought into the dressing room and also what we’re asking of him in terms of how we want him to play, while giving him the freedom.
