Hamza Igamane transfer update as Premier League side ‘one step away’ from Rangers Star

Selling Hamza Igamane in this window would be a step forward for Rangers’ player trading model but would also be a blow on the pitch.

The striker is one of five Rangers stars destined to bank the club a fortune in the transfer market, but fans would prefer if it was further down the line and they got to see a bit more of him in a blue shirt.

Igamane’s form has really taken off in recent months as he emerges as a key man after getting grips to life in Glasgow.

It has been such that four Premier League clubs were initially credited with an interest – West Ham, Fulham, Bournemouth and Brentford.

Everton were then added to the list as scouts were in attendance to watch him score against Tottenham in the Europa League

Spurs themselves later entered the race with reports they had been “working on” the 22-year-old.

Clubs further afield have also been taken a look with French giants Marseille and their fellow Ligue 1 outfit Reims taking a look.

Talk around Everton intensified this week with a former Goodison scout claiming he would expect them to get a deal over the line.

Everton reportedly close in on Rangers’ Igamane

Everton are now “one step away” from Igamane, according to Tuttosport.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin injured, David Moyes is searching for someone to fill the void and it is claimed the Moroccan has been identified as someone who can do that.

Everton scouts have been monitoring Igamane for weeks, but Evan Ferguson, Marcus Edwards, Brian Brobbey and Taiwo Awoniyi are other targets.

But Tuttosport are claiming they are closing in on the Rangers man, which could pave the way for Torino to sign Beto from the Premier League side.

Selling Igamane would be Rangers vindication

Rangers have been battered, mainly from their own support, for their player trading model in recent years.
