The club Jamie Gittens is willing to leave Dortmund for after Chelsea and Tottenham both show interest

It wouldn’t be a January transfer window without some of the big hitters in England like Chelsea and Tottenham being linked with the same player and that’s what seems to be happening with Borussia Dortmund star, Jamie Gittens.

Gittens is having quite the season in Germany and has already hit double figures for goals in an impressive Dortmund team.

His form, though, has attracted admiring glances from the Premier League. Tottenham are keen on signing Gittens as a long-term Heung-Min Son replacement but have been told he’d cost north of £50m.

And now, in a further blow to Tottenham, Gittens has apparently opened the door for a move to Chelsea.

Jamie Gittens willing to sign for Chelsea in the summer

According to GiveMeSport, Dortmund star Gittens is open-minded about his future and has apparently indicated he’d be willing to sign for Chelsea.

While Gittens is set to play this season in Germany, it’s claimed that he will assess his future in the summer and that a move to Chelsea is being considered.

Enzo Maresca is said to be a big fan of the winger and with uncertainties over the likes of Joao Felix, Christopher Nkunku and Mykhaylo Mudryk, a space in the front three could open up.

Dortmund, though, could demand a huge sum for Gittens, with GMS reporting only a bid in the region of £84m will be enough for them to sell.

TBR Football reported in December that a number of Premier League clubs have done their homework on Gittens but as of now, it looks like Chelsea could have an edge.

Unsurprisingly, Jamie Gittens has already been having a chat with a few people about a move to the Premier League and TBR Football understands he’s confided in Jadon Sancho.
