Leeds United to cause ‘unrest’ as Jack Harrison agreement mooted with Everton

Paul Robinson believes Jack Harrison’s early return to Elland Road could be an unwanted distraction for Leeds United this season.

According to Jacob Tanswell, Everton are considering terminating the winger’s current loan spell at Goodison Park, with any other loan deal hinging on him.

However, Graham Smyth has hit back against those claims [Yorkshire Evening Post], revealing that all parties must agree to the termination and Leeds have no intention of agreeing to such terms, much to the joy of Robinson.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, he said: “It’ll be very difficult for him to win the fans over. Wober and Aaronson have done it but it’s taken time, and I still don’t think either of them is fully there.

“With Jack Harrison, there’s a lot of redemption needed. Can he do it in a short amount of time? And is it a distraction Leeds don’t need between now and the end of the season? If he was to come back, it would create unrest in the fanbase.

Do you want a player in the team who is going to get booed every week as a substitute during a nervy game? It wouldn’t be an ideal situation for anyone.”

Jack Harrison to rejoin Leeds United squad?

It seems highly unlikely that the 28-year-old will make a dramatic return to Daniel Farke’s squad this season, and it remains to be seen what the plan is ahead of the summer.

He has massively struggled at Goodison Park over the last two seasons, unable to notch a single goal involvement in the Premier League this term, and dropping down the pecking order.

However, with Dan James, Manor Solomon, Largie Ramazani and Wilfried Gnonto occupying the wings, Harrison would be nothing more than a bench warmer if he were to return this month.
