UNBELIEVABLE NEWS;Nuno Espirito Santo has finally given up and sign his resignation letter
Nottingham Forest will experience a bit of a change of tact in the transfer window this month given that it’s unlikely many players will be targeted.
During the two previous January windows, Forest have needed new players to aid the team in a quest to survive relegation from the Premier League.
This time around, Forest have 40 points from 20 games and Nuno Espirito Santo is blessed with a very settled squad brimming with quality.
Forest have been linked with Igor Jesus this month but that feels like a bit of a tricky deal to do for the Reds during the mid-season window.
The big priority will be keeping the current crop in place and hopefully, Evangelos Marinakis can resist any temptation to cash in on the crown jewels this month.
When Murillo will sign new Nottingham Forest deal
The Reds hit the jackpot when they snared the Brazilian from Corinthians in the summer of 2023.
Murillo was eyed by Manchester City before he came to Forest and the Citizens might wish they’d have tried harder to sign him for just shy of £11 million.
Now, it looks as though Forest are going to tie Murillo to a new deal and Rob Dorsett from Sky Sports has now shared some big news.
He said live on air: “We talked yesterday about Murillo and we said that one of the best defenders in the Premier League was in negotiations over a new contract and I can now tell you there’s broad agreement on that contract between Murillo’s people and Nottingham Forest and that could be signed in the coming days.”
European football could help Forest keep Murillo
The 22-year-old is set to enjoy a very bright future as a player and already top clubs are eyeing moves for the Forest star.
