HEARTBREAKING NEWS;Regis Le Bris confirm the exit of their top youngsters

Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris has been great at handing opportunities to young players this season, but one teenage star appears to be tired of waiting.

Regis Le Bris has worked wonders at Sunderland in the first six months of his tenure, and has managed to get the Black Cats in the title race in the Championship against the odds.

We’ve seen young talent like Chris Rigg, Jobe Bellingham, and Tommy Watson thrive under the Frenchman already, and the Sunderland academy has lots more to offer, too.

While the FA Cup is a great chance for youngsters to get their opportunity at Sunderland, one Black Cats starlet may be on the move soon.

Harrison Jones open to local loan move this month

According to a report from the Sunderland Echo, a loan move for Harrison Jones may be in the offing in the January transfer window, with the 19-year-old very much open to the idea.

It is thought Jones has agreed that a temporary switch to local sides like Hartlepool United or Gateshead would be a good opportunity for him at this point in his career, while any clubs further away would still work if they present the right challenge.

Jones and his representatives are keen to get a loan move this month, as the youngster is at a pivotal stage of his development; he is the Under-21s captain, has been on the first-team bench a number of times, but is still yet to make his Championship debut.

We could see Jones agree a loan deal this month, but National League sides are permitted to make loan signings outside the normal window, meaning there could still be time in February for a switch to happen.

However, the latest on the situation comes from Rob Law, who states Hartlepool do not see Jones as a “target” right now, as their transfer “priorities” lie with finding a wide player this month.
