NEWS: JR Motorsports revealed today that they will use the stylized ‘DEI’ 8 for Sammy Smith’s car in 2025. Smith will continue to be sponsored by long time partners; Pilot/Flying J, Allstate Peterbilt, and TMC. 

• NEWS: JR Motorsports revealed today that they will use the stylized ‘DEI’ 8 for Sammy Smith’s car in 2025. Smith will continue to be sponsored by long time partners; Pilot/Flying J, Allstate Peterbilt, and TMC.

 

You may recall the stylized ‘DEI’ 8 trademark recently expired and Dale Jr. acquired it from the Trademark & Patent Office earlier this year. By doing so they can use it to run on their Racecars and make apparel, etc. with it. Previously JR Motorsports used a different font on the No.8 car.

 

Dale Jr. returned the iconic Bud 8 to the track back at Florence Speedway in a Late Model Stock last month and will continue to run the car at select events in 2025.
