Provisional Entry List for 2025 Moto3 World Championship Released: Vacancies Remain for Leopard Racing and FleetSafe Honda-MLav Racing
The provisional entry list for the 2025 Moto3 World Championship has been released, though it is still incomplete with two vacancies to be filled: one at Leopard Racing and the other at FleetSafe Honda-MLav Racing. The grid for the entry-level class of the World Championship will see a mix of rookies, returning riders, and some familiar names making moves within the paddock.
Key Changes and New Faces:
Several rookies will make their debut in the 2025 season, while some seasoned riders are moving up the ranks. The top four finishers from the 2024 Moto3 season will be promoted to Moto2, leaving David Muñoz, who finished fifth, as the highest-ranked rider remaining in Moto3. Muñoz will join the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP team for the 2025 season.
The CFMOTO Aspar team, which helped David Alonso claim the 2024 Moto3 title, will field an entirely new lineup for 2025. Rookie Máximo Quiles, a standout from the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, will join the squad alongside Dennis Foggia, who makes a rare move down from Moto2 after spending the last few seasons in the intermediate class.
Álvaro Carpe, the 2024 Rookies Cup champion, will make his Moto3 debut with Red Bull KTM Ajo, while Valentin Perrone will race for Red Bull KTM Tech3. Among the top five finishers in the Rookies Cup, only Brian Uriarte and Rico Salmela are absent from the provisional list, though they are still in the running for the remaining spots on the grid.
Notable Riders and Teams:
•Eddie O’Shea will compete in his first full season with FleetSafe Honda-MLav Racing after joining mid-season during the 2024 Indonesian GP.
•In addition to Carpe and Quiles, Cormac Buchanan and Ruché Moodley will also step up to Moto3 from the FIM JuniorGP series, joining BOE Motorsports for the new season.
Team and Constructor Changes:
While many teams remain unchanged, there are some important shifts. CFMOTO, which had been represented as a constructor under the CFMOTO name, will no longer be on the entry list in 2025. The bikes previously raced under the CFMOTO brand will now be officially listed as KTM machines.
With two slots still open, the final details of the 2025 Moto3 grid are yet to be fully confirmed. Fans can expect more updates as the start of the new season draws closer. The provisional list promises a fresh batch of talent and familiar faces, setting the stage for another exciting Moto3 season.
