Ryan Kent’s Return to Rangers Ruled Out Following Fenerbahce Contract Termination

Ryan Kent will not be making a return to Rangers after his contract with Fenerbahce was mutually terminated, according to reports from The Fourth Official. The news emerged on October 18, indicating that the English winger’s contract, worth £45,000 per week, was ended following a challenging start to the season.

Kent, who previously played for Rangers at a salary of £25,000 per week, has left fans divided over the possibility of a reunion at Ibrox. While some supporters may hope for his return, given his experience and skill set, questions remain about the decision-making of manager Philippe Clement and his recruitment team.

The Belgian coach already has a roster of wingers, including Rabbi Matondo and Oscar Cortes, who have shown potential but struggled with injuries this season. Although Kent could enhance depth in the squad, his lackluster performance in Turkey raises concerns about his suitability for a return to top-flight football.

As discussions around Kent’s future continue, it remains unclear if the circumstances that led to his departure from Rangers have changed.
