Celtic have appointed Paul Tisdale as their new head of recruitment, fending off interest from English Premier League clubs. Tisdale, known for his excellent talent-spotting abilities, is credited with discovering players like Ethan Ampadu, Ollie Watkins, and Matt Grimes during his time at Exeter City. His track record of identifying young talents and developing them into top-tier players aligns with Celtic’s strategy of investing in potential future stars. This move comes as Celtic look to enhance their recruitment strategy and continue their focus on generating profits through player trading.
Additionally, Mark Cooper, a former South American talent scout with experience in MLS, has also been brought into the recruitment setup, signaling a broadening of Celtic’s scouting network.
