Die erste Trainingswoche unter dem neuen Trainer Kees van Wonderen ist im Gange. Allerdings muss er im Training am Dienstag (8.10.) auf vier Spieler verzichten.
During the home game against Hertha BSC, Christopher Antwi-Adjei sustained a thigh injury that will see him sidelined for at least a couple of weeks. The attacker will therefore be missing from the squad for Saturday’s friendly in Aarau (12/10), as well for the following week and the second-division clash in Hanover. Justin Heekeren also picked up a thigh knock in the encounter with the team from Berlin. The keeper will not be in training over the coming days and will also be unavailable for Aarau. Ilyes Hamache will also be missing due to a stomach bug.
Ibrahima Cissé is another who will not be in team training. The centre-back had been a regular for the Mali U23 national side and was recently part of their team to compete at the Olympic Games in Paris, however he has now received his first senior call-up. He and his nation will take on Guinea-Bissau twice in qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations. The first match is scheduled for Friday (11/10) in Bamako, before the sides meet again in Bissau on Tuesday (15/10).
Paul Seguin, who had been unavailable recently due to a groin problem, is now back out on the pitch. At the first team training session led by the new head coach, he was able to be partially involved. There is also positive news regarding Adrian Gantenbein, since he can now take part in full team training once again following the thigh injury that had kept the Swiss player sidelined.
