BREAKING NEWS : SUNDERLAND FC STRIKER, ELLIS SIMMS, ENTERS ISOLATION AFTER TESTING POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS

Sunderland FC has confirmed that striker Ellis Simms has tested positive for COVID-19 and will undergo a period of self-isolation.

Simms, 23, who has scored 5 goals in 10 appearances this season, reported mild symptoms yesterday and was subsequently tested.

Sunderland FC Statement:

“The health and safety of our players and staff remain our top priority. We’ll follow all necessary protocols to ensure Ellis’s recovery and prevent further spread.”
