Fiji Rugby Union is in shock after losing one of its key players, Nemani Nagusa, in a fatal car accident early yesterday morning.
Nagusa, 32, was traveling with friends when their vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree on the Coral Coast Road.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, but unfortunately, Nagusa succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Fiji Rugby Union CEO, John O’Connor, expressed deep sadness: “Nemani was an exceptional talent, a dedicated team member, and a true Fijian warrior. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and teammates.”
Nagusa had 37 caps for Fiji, scoring 10 tries, and was instrumental in the team’s recent Pacific Nations Cup campaign.
