UPDATE:Ahead of the WNBA Playoffs, Christie Sides Sends A Strong Message To Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever Doubters

The Indiana Fever of coach Christie Sides play the Washington Mystics on Thursday in their final regular season game. This Sunday marks the start of the WNBA Playoffs, which The Fever have already secured a position in. They’re now anxiously awaiting their opponent, knowing full well that they might receive a team that will be favored to beat them in the first round.

Given Clark’s rookie status and her and Sides’ team’s subpar regular season record (20-19), the majority of WNBA fans across the league believe that Clark and the Fever are a squad on the rise but not quite ready for prime time.

“I mean, that’s just part of the fun of it, right?” In an interview with the media on Wednesday before practice, Sides questioned about what it’s been like not knowing the Fever’s opponent in the first round.
