BREAKING: Detroit Lions’ Key Player, Jamaal Williams, Isolated Due to Coronavirus

 

Detroit, MI – The Detroit Lions have confirmed that running back Jamaal Williams has been placed in isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

According to the team’s statement, Williams reported symptoms on Tuesday morning and was immediately quarantined. Further testing confirmed the diagnosis.

The health and safety of our players and staff remain our top priority,” said Lions’ Head Coach, Dan Campbell. “We will follow all NFL protocols and guidelines to ensure Jamaal’s safe return to the team.”

Williams, 28, has been a crucial player for the Lions this season, rushing for over 500 yards and scoring 5 touchdowns.

The Lions’ upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers is still scheduled to take place on Sunday, but Williams’ availability is uncertain
