Phillip Clement set to seal Rangers deal for new winger

Rangers have had a quiet August with it being widely reported that the club is out of money to be able to bring new players in.

Robin Propper, who joined on the first day of the month, was the last signing that Philippe Clement made it seems that at least one more player will make his entrance at Ibrox before 11pm on Friday night with the summer transfer window shuts.

Zurich-born Bajrami is a player with a lot of experience in European football.

The Albania international, who’s been capped 26 times by his country, has 100 Serie A appearances to his name and also played 69 times in the Swiss Super League for Grasshoppers.

The former Empoli winger was left on the bench as Sassuolo, who were relegated from Serie A last season, played out a 1-1 draw with Bari in Serie B at the weekend and it looks like that 90 minutes on the bench will be his final duty for the Italian club.

It remains to be seen how he’ll get on at Rangers but this could be quite an exciting one.
