RANGERS RECEIVE LOAN INDICATION AS HANNIBAL MEJBRI SET TO LEAVE MANCHESTER UNITED

Rangers may look to pounce ahead of the 30 August deadline as Manchester United are open to letting Hannibal Mejbri on loan.

That’s according to Manchester Evening News who reported on 25 August that despite the Tunisian’s contract expiring next summer, the Old Trafford outfit are fine if he leaves on loan but have not shut the door on cashing in on him either.

The Tunisia international has fallen down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag and has not even been named on a matchday squad this season.

Rangers may now look to pounce amid Hannibal Mejbri’s availability

With the window shutting in a few days, the time for Gers to pounce and secure his services on loan is now.

His contract at Manchester United expires in the summer of 2025, so this transfer window represents one of the last opportunities for United to cash in on him or loan him out with a potential for a future sale, reducing the likelihood of losing him for free.

Mejbri’s lack of game time under ten Hag indicates he’s surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, making this an opportune moment for Rangers to negotiate either a loan with an option to buy or a permanent deal at a potentially reduced price.

Furthermore, with advanced talks already in place and Mejbri’s reported transfer request, there’s clear intent from the player’s side to move, which Gers can capitalise on.

Acting swiftly before the 30 August deadline could secure them a young, talented midfielder eager for regular first-team football, enhancing their squad depth and European ambitions.
