Blackburn Rovers midfielder Lewis Travis was not at the club’s training facilities ahead of a reported move to Rangers, according to This Is Ibrox.
In a now-deleted article, the Scottish Sun claimed on 23 August that the 26-year-old appears to be on the brink of a move to Ibrox.
While the move may still go ahead, he was not in Glasgow having a look at the Auchenhowie setup.

Rangers must explore the transfer of Lewis Travis this summer
Travis should be signed by Gers due to his proven track record as a versatile and robust midfielder, qualities that could significantly bolster their midfield options.
His experience as a captain at Blackburn demonstrates leadership and tactical awareness, which are invaluable in high-pressure matches and signing a new midfielder is imperative for the club.
To secure his services, the Ibrox outfit must leverage their competitive edge in Scottish football, offering the 26-year-old a platform to showcase his skills on a larger stage, potentially attracting interest from higher leagues or ensuring a legacy in Scottish football.
Financially, offering a contract that reflects his value but also considers his desire for regular first-team football could be appealing.
Additionally, personal incentives like a significant role in the team, possibly as a squad leader or mentor, combined with a pathway to further his career development, might sway him towards Rangers.
It’s going to be a tough one to get over the line, but hopefully, the club can sign him as he can make the difference in midfield.
