Leicester City are still looking to add to their squad during the remainder of the summer transfer window.

The Foxes have made six first-team additions so far this summer but further incomings are likely at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City got a lot of their summer business done early in the window with four new players arriving through the door.

Issahaku Fatawu, Caleb Okoli, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, and Michael Golding all completed permanent transfers and were heavily involved in the club’s pre-season schedule.

Steve Cooper struggled to get too many positive results during said friendlies but more players have arrived in a bid to boost the Midlands outfit’s Premier League survival chances.

New addition Facundo Buonanotte has received praise from Carlos Tevez after he joined on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.

Oliver Skipp then moved shortly before Leicester drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur on Monday evening.

Leicester City make enquiry for star alongside Wolves

In the remainder of the window, Cooper and co. appear keen to bring another winger to the club.

Juventus’ Matias Soule rejected a Leicester transfer despite Cooper speaking extensively with the player about a move.

However, it now appears that the Foxes have already identified a potential replacement for Soule.

According to Italian outlet Viola News, the future of Jonathan Ikone at Fiorentina is up in the air as he is not in the plans of manager, Raffaele Palladino.

It is added that both Leicester and fellow Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers have sent enquiries for the winger recently.

No information is given on how much it would cost Leicester to make a move for Ikone happen.

What will Jonathan Ikone bring to Leicester City

The 26-year-old joined his current team in January 2022. Prior to that, he featured and won Ligue 1 with OSC Lille.

During his time in France, Ikone provided an insight into his style of play, stating he wants to play like former Arsenal and Germany star, Mesut Ozil, as per One Football.

He said: “I was mostly attracted to dribbling growing up, but having been put into the No.10 position I’ve become more interested in those who can unlock a game, like [Mesut] Ozil.

Ikone is a fast, agile player who is excellent at taking on defenders. He also has a clever footballing brain and his off-the-ball work is very good.

He featured 43 times for Fiorentina in the previous campaign, scoring five and assisting three in all competitions.
