Celtic’s work in the summer transfer window has come under the microscope from time to time over the last few months.

As well as injecting his team with quality, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has also been overseeing the departures of players he sees as having no future at the club.

Rodgers has made Paulo Bernardo and Adam Idah permanent Celts this summer and has also managed to move on the likes of Benjamin Siegrist, Sead Haksabanovic and Hyeongyu Oh.

Finding a replacement for Joe Hart has also successfully been negotiated as Rodgers brought Viljami Sinisalo and Kasper Schmeichel to Celtic.

But it is widely accepted that more still needs to be done to strengthen key areas of the Celtic team before the window closes in September and Rodgers embarks on another assault on the Champions League.

Liverpool’s Bobby Clark agrees next move amid Celtic links

We discussed last week how Celtic expressed an interest in Liverpool youngster, Bobby Clark. The midfielder was part of an Anfield trio Brendan Rodgers was keeping tabs on but now it seems that the 22-year-old has already decided on his future.

A fee of £10m is said to have been agreed between Liverpool and Salzburg for the 19-year-old and will be done and dusted subject to passing a medical.

The England U20 international was of ‘real interest‘ to Celtic but at £10m, that price may have been too rich for the Parkhead club.

With the speculation surrounding Matt O’Riley possibly making his Celtic exit this summer, Rodgers will need to have a contingency plan in place should the Danish international decide to move on.

Celtic have been linked with a number of players over the last few months now but with this latest development, the fans can now cross Clark off of the list of potential incomings to the club.
