PREDICTED RANGERS XI VS DYNAMO KYIV AS 2 NEW RECRUITS HANDED STARTS IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Philippe Clement knows it’s a tough task in Poland but the UCL is so important to Rangers this season

Tonight represents a major test for Philippe Clement and his Rangers side.

The Ibrox outfit are in Poland to face Dynamo Kyiv in their Champions League qualifier following their opening day goalless draw against Hearts at Tynecastle. The result in Gorgie was a sobering reminder of the tough season ahead for Clement as his squad revamp takes time to settle in. That’s where it becomes difficult with ties such as this evening’s coming so early in the campaign with so much cash riding on it.

The Light Blues are desperate for a positive result to take with them back to their jam-packed home in Glasgow and Football Scotland has attempted to pick the team for the first-leg.

Jack Butland

The goalkeeper has come up big for Rangers in these Euro ties previously and we’re sure he’ll be called into action again with Kyiv an attacking outfit.

James Tavernier

His goals and assists have dragged Gers through ties like this before. Wasn’t at his best vs Hearts but will look to improve.

John Souttar

A stronger option, perhaps, than Ben Davies to partner new signing Propper.

Robin Propper

Has been declared fit by the manager and was brought to the club for these big moments and ties. Will bring experience to the backline.

Ridvan Yilmaz

Can be trusted on the left-flank and same cannot yet be said about new signing Jefte.

Connor Barron

A steely midfield component for Rangers and they’ll need him to put himself about in such a big game. A step up for the ex-Aberdeen kid.

Mohamed Diomande

Developing into an important player for Rangers. Links the midfield and attack and will be asked to burden a lot of that tonight.

Vaclav Cerny

While it may still be a bit early for the Czech to play 90 minutes, his experience and talent on this stage would be too strong to pass up from the start.

Tom Lawrence

Had an excellent pre-season and will look to continue that. Doesn’t have too much competition within the squad, though, if we’re honest.

Scott Wright

Oscar Cortes is injured and missing for this one so it may be a toss-up between Wright and Rabbi Matondo.

Cyriel Dessers

Danilo won’t be fit enough to start and though the Nigerian missed chances vs Hearts, he’ll be confident he can hit the net in Poland.
