The Easter Road club are on the verge of completing another deal after the captures of Junior Hoilett and Nicky Cadden
Hibs are on the verge of sealing a deal for Fulham striker Kieron Bowie.
Football Scotland understands the Hibees are close to signing the 21-year-old on a long-term contract as David Gray bolsters his attacking options. It’s understood the Easter Road club have been granted permission to speak with the Scotland Under-21 international, who is in the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage.
The Edinburgh outfit today completed a double swoop after Junior Hoilett and Nicky Cadden were officially unveiled as their latest summer signings. And now Bowie is expected to become the club’s eighth recruit with as both Hibs and Fulham finalise a permanent transfer. The former Raith Rovers starlet spent the last two seasons on loan with Northampton Town, scoring 14 goals in 85 appearances.
Meanwhile Hibs remain hopeful of landing Dundee captain Luke McCowan but face competition from EFL League One side Bolton Wanderers. It’s believed both clubs have had bids rejected for the highly-rated midfielder, who has also been linked with Celtic.
The 26-year-old was a standout under Tony Docherty last season as the Dees secured a top six finish in their first year back in the Premiership. The ex-Ayr United star is out of contract next summer and Hibs are expected to return to the table with an improved offer. However, Dens Park boss Docherty remains hopeful that he’ll be able to convince his star man to commit his future to the club.
