Swansea target Adama Sidibeh ‘better than all my Rangers & Celtic strikers’
Swansea City target Adama Sidibeh has been backed to become a “top striker” by his agent Willie McKay.
The St Johnstone striker is expected to have several teams watching his performance in next Monday’s Scottish Premiership opener against Aberdeen.
Swansea, Preston North End, and Hibernian are all in the race to sign the 26-year-old before the transfer window shuts.
The striker was crucial in helping St Johnstone avoid relegation last season, as he scored five goals in 15 games.
Those individual performances caught the eye of clubs across England and the rest of Europe, leaving St Johnstone facing a tough battle to retain him.
Swansea City could sign a promising talent in Adama Sidibeh
Sidibeh’s agent has helped bring the likes of Dada Prso, Daniel Cousin, Henri Camara, and Diomansy Kamara to the Scottish Premiership throughout his career.
However, he believes that Sidibeh has the potential to eclipse all of them during his own career.
“I brought a number of top strikers to Scotland for Celtic and Rangers in the past, but I fully believe Adama Sidibeh can be better than all of them,” McKay told Football Insider.
“Adama is fast, great in the air and is a clinical finisher too. He has everything you need to be a top striker.”
It remains to be seen whether any clubs will be able to prize him away from St Johnstone before the 31st August deadline.
Purchasing Sidibeh is seen as a low-risk deal, but there will be competition due to the number of clubs lining up for him.
