Joe Gomez ready to seek move away from Liverpool this summer
HITC understands that England international Joe Gomez is ready to seek a move away from Liverpool this summer.
Gomez has been left perturbed that he was offered to Newcastle United as part of a possible deal for Anthony Gordon.
We had reported back in June that Liverpool had held talks to sign Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon due to the financial troubles that the Magpies were going through before the first of July.
HITC is told that Slot is open to Gomez staying, but he can’t guarantee him any sort of regular first-team football for Liverpool next season.
Under Jurgen Klopp last season, Gomez made 32 Premier League appearances for Liverpool but started just 17 of those games for the Reds.
Back in 2022, Gomez was a regular starter for Liverpool but the English defender has had countless injury problems throughout his time at Anfield.
“It’s really unlucky for Joe, absolutely. When Joe played for us, he consistently played on an incredibly high level, one of the best centre-halves in England for sure,” said Klopp when speaking to Liverpool’s website.
However, a move away from the club for the ‘incredible defender could be on the cards.
Multiple Premier League sides keen on Gomez
HITC has been told, by sources with knowledge of Gomez’s situation at Liverpool, that multiple Premier League clubs are keen on the English defender.
Sources have told HITC that West Ham United, Brentford and Crystal Palace are all keen on signing Gomez this summer. Aston Villa are also understood to be interested in the defender.

HITC had reported that Newcastle are in talks with Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi with the club keen on signing a right-sided centre-back.
