Cerny is under contract with the Bundesliga club until June 2027.
Rangers close to signing Vaclav Cerny on loan from VfL Wolfsburg
This will come as an exciting update for fans at Ibrox.
New attacking additions are desperately needed at the club. Therefore, supporters are likely to welcome Cerny with arms wide open. While he isn’t the number nine which is desperately needed, he is still a positive signing in a priority area of the pitch.
This is a player with plenty of experience at the highest level and Philippe Clement will be hopeful that he can use this experience to inspire his teammates to overthrow Celtic next season.
There is still likely to be plenty of change at the club this summer. Plenty of players could yet move on from Ibrox, and reinforcements are therefore needed.
Cerny will hope to showcase the quality he has done throughout his career thus far should his expected switch to Rangers go through smoothly.
And supporters will no doubt be excited to see what he can do.
