Nottingham Forest have missed out on Che Adams.
The 28-year-old was a free agent after his contract with Southampton officially expired at the end of last month, after helping them win promotion to the Premier League. The Saints failed to agree a new deal with him.
The Reds had Adams on their radar earlier in the summer, but he has chosen to join Torino. He has signed a three-year deal with the Serie A club.
Adams said on Instagram: “I’m proud to be leaving with my head held high, getting this club back to where it belongs.
“We made you fans a promise and it gives me such pride we delivered.”
Forest have had Adams on their wanted list before. Most recently, he was a target in January 2020, when Sabri Lamouchi was in charge.
