Club tells agent that player is no longer part of plans as Rangers eye new loan swoop – report

Sevilla have informed Joan Jordan and his agent that he is no longer part of the team’s plans amid links to Rangers, according to Vamos Sevilla.

The Spanish news outlet reported on 15 July that the midfielder’s agent has been informed to look at new clubs this summer.

Gers made an initial proposal on loan but it was rejected as they were willing to cover just 30 per cent of his wages.

Rangers may hold the upper hand in negotiations for Joan Jordan

Sevilla’s stance on Jordan suggests they are keen to offload him permanently, as they have informed the player and his agent that he is surplus to requirements.

This could potentially work in Gers’ favour, allowing them to negotiate a favourable deal for the midfielder.

The initial loan proposal from the club was rejected which indicates that the Spanish club is looking for a more substantial financial commitment from potential suitors.

However, given Sevilla’s desire to move Jordan on, Rangers may have an opportunity to negotiate a lower valuation for the player.

With the club already looking for new options and Jordan cutting short his holidays to try and force his way back into the team, Sevilla may be more willing to compromise on their initial demands.

This situation presents the Ibrox with a chance to secure Jordan’s services on a permanent basis, potentially at a reduced cost, as Sevilla appears motivated to part ways with the midfielder.
